or Greek Wedding Crowns...
are an ancient tradition in the Greek Orthodox
Church, rich in symbolism,
with the Crowning being one of the most
moving events in the wedding ceremony.
The Stefana represent the glory and honor given by God, to the couple, as they form their new
family.
The Ribbon, which joins the wedding crowns, represents the couple’s
Unity and the Blessing of Christ, as he establishes them the “King
and Queen” of their household.
